The 2009 edition of the Download Festival will take place from June 12th-14th, it’s been announced.

The three day festival is also proud to announce that the event will still be held at Donnington Park in Leicestershire.

At present, no bands have been confirmed for the festival (this year featured headlining performances from KISS, The Offspring and Lostprophets), but line up will be added constantly over the coming months.

The site said: “The 7th year of Download in 2009 is 12th, 13th, 14th June @ Donington Park, Castle Donington Derby, England!”

Tickets details are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
