Posted on 04 November 2008 by Elizabeth Fish
The official sinlge for Children in Need 2008 has been decided- “Do Ya” by McFLY!
The song “Do Ya” is of course a cover of the Rod Stewart version, and will be released as a double A-side with The Faces 70s hit “Stay With Me“. McFLY will be playing both these songs live on Children in Need on Friday 14th November, as well as playing a venue of their current tour (Birmingham NEC)!
The single will be released for download on the 22nd November (although the bundle can be pre-ordered now), with the store release 2 days after. HMV will exclusively be releasing alongside the singles a McFLY DVD.
In a statement, the band added: “We are excited to announce we are doing the official single for Children in Need this month and hope we can help raise more money than ever for such a great cause.”
